Steffi Carruthers Joins the Loriet Pro Team
When we started our company over a decade ago, teaming up with players like Steffi was one of our goals. Steffi is a trailblazer.
Carruthers is the first Samoan woman to play professional tennis and the first Pacific Oceanian player to win a professional tournament.
Steffi was born and raised in Western Samoa, has a WTA singles career high ranking of 662 achieved on 13 October 2014. She also has a WTA doubles career high ranking of 556. She has won 2 ITF titles in doubles.
Steffi plays Fed Cup for Pacific Oceania in Fed Cup, Carruthers has a W/L record of 3–1.
She is named after one of the greats of Women’s Tennis, Steffi Graf. Besides playing tennis, she likes being outdoors playing other sports or teaching tennis to the young kids in her mother’s tennis academy in Samoa. She is a strong Christian believer and loves to be around family and loved ones, especially her nieces and nephews.
We look forward to having Steffi represent Loriet and to her results in the months to come.
